We do our best to make sure all questions asked by participants are answered and understood before moving onto the next block of information. For course pricing or to schedule an individual training, family/group training, or team training please reference the Course Price section located near the bottom of this page.
The Intuitive Defense, LLC Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Training Course is a one day course for basic individual CQB training or a multi day course for team CQB. This course is suited for a wide range of individuals regardless of experience level, but specifically designed for those who are already proficient in firearms and weapon manipulation, but new to or have minimal experience in working and clearing confined environments such as rooms and/or structures. This is NOT a live fire training course.
If you have to defend your residence from a criminal who is inside or if you are law enforcement/military and you are tasked with making entry into a structure, that's a tough and dangerous situation. Those actions are made more difficult if you are not proficient in this skill set because close quarters battle/confined environments are filled with risks. There is no way to do everything safe all the time, only a way to minimize the amount of our exposure to risk and what we (defender) decide to give them (bad guy). If CQB is a game, the cost to play is your life. Close quarters battle is a skill set that is beneficial for most people to have, but best applied if you are already proficient in implementing the basic shooting fundamentals (pistol and/or rifle), along with weapon manipulation. If you are not confident in your ability to accurately and effectively stop a threat using a firearm, you probably should not be searching for it in a room and/or structure.
We recommend to people who are new to firearms and new to close quarters battle or home defense to, at a minimum, first take either our Handgun 1 (Basic Pistol), Long Gun (Basic Rifle), Hybrid Handgun 1, or Hybrid Long Gun 1 Training Course before taking our Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Training Course. There are a lot of important tactics and techniques from those courses that carry over to this one. Close quarters battle is a series of decisions, actions, and outcomes and we want to make sure those all line up in your favor.
CQB is a thinking persons game. Our goal with this course is not only give you options through teaching you the tactics and techniques of close quarters battle, but to teach you to think and problem solve while maneuvering through a stressful and dangerous environment. We believe that our teaching method, along with having a simplified, yet informative course of instruction will do just that.

Course Price
The Intuitive Defense Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Training Course is offered as a one day course or a multi day course depending on the needs of the client, along with the number of participants that are in the class and the participant type (civilian with a focus on home defense or law enforcement/military with a focus on structure assault). The duration of this Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Training Course (each day) can vary based on several factors, to include, but not limited to: course size (how many participants), questions, breaks, and the hands-on portion. Please allow for and expect this training course to last approximately 7-10 hours.
Since the Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Training Course is more of a custom built course and not always limited to a specific location or date, the price can vary based on several factors:
Typically with group style courses the per participant cost is lower since there are more participants to help offset administrative and logistical costs associated with the training. A One-on-one private session and/or family session is typically more expensive since there are not as many participants to help offset those training expenses occurred by Intuitive Defense, LLC, especially if there is more than 100 miles of travel and/or hotel requirements.
Another factor is the training location or availability of a training location. In most cases a training location is provided by the client (school, office building, home, or other structure type). In other cases Intuitive Defense is tasked with finding and renting a structure that is conducive to facilitating our CQB training course.
This is why the Close Quarters Battle (CQB) Training Course starts at $225.00 per participant and can be more expensive depending on the clients location, participant numbers, and course type (one day individual course or multi day team course). Intuitive Defense is located near Alexandria, Louisiana. We (Intuitive Defense, LLC) will travel without hesitation, but please understand, the cost of the training course will increase.
IMPORTANT: The Close Quarters Battle (CQB)Training Course is NOT a live fire CQB training course.
