Tourniquet Training Course Description

* Please read all information before scheduling your course using the link at the bottom of this page *
- Course is open to: Citizens/Law Enforcement/Military -
This course, like many of our other training courses, is designed to be taught in a group setting. There are periodic breaks throughout the course. Course size can vary between 3-25 participants. This course is expected to last approximately 3-5 hours. We do our best to make sure all questions asked by participants are answered and understood before moving onto the next block of information. This helps to reduce the chances of any participant(s) falling behind during the training. For course pricing or to schedule a group/family session or a one-on-one private session, please reference the Course Price section located near the bottom of this page.

The Intuitive Defense, LLC Tourniquet Training Course is suited for all individuals because anyone at any point may find themselves in a situation where they or someone else has an injury where massive blood loss is a concern. These type of injuries can be caused by, but not limited to: motor vehicle crashes, blunt trauma, penetrating trauma, crushing, and traumatic amputation of an extremity. If you are an avid shooter or hunter, work with machinery, drive a truck, operate a chainsaw or other types of cutting equipment, carry a gun, live or work in rural areas, or anything else, this information could be very beneficial.

Depending on the extent of the injury(s), a person can bleed out as quickly as 2 minutes. Even though medical personal might be close by, they cannot be right next to you at all times. It is important that you are able to recognize, understand, and control massive blood loss before time runs out.

We will discuss, demonstrate, and practice all topics shown within this course so that you, the participant can hear, see, and do the techniques for yourself. This training course is designed to be a stand alone training session where no previous medical experience or knowledge is needed or required in order to attend. You also do not need to bring any special equipment with you as we provide all the training aids necessary for tourniquet application.

One of our goals is to make each and every participant a more knowledgeable, confident, and truly beneficial person to have on scene during a medical emergency involving massive blood loss. We believe that our teaching method, along with having a simplified, yet informative course of instruction will do just that.
