This course, like many of our other training courses, is designed to be taught in a group setting. There are periodic breaks throughout the course. Course size can vary between 3-25 participants. We do our best to make sure all questions asked by participants are answered and understood before moving onto the next block of information. This course is expected to last approximately 4-7 hours. For course pricing or to schedule a group/family session or a private session, please reference the Course Price section located near the bottom of this page.
The Intuitive Defense, LLC Preparedness Theory and Basic Defense Course is primarily a lecture-based, group discussion driven workshop style presentation with some hands-on demonstrations. This presentation is suited for a wide range of individuals regardless of experience level, but specifically designed for individuals who are new or have minimal experience with threat analysis and basic defense related topics and situations.
This course is designed to provide participants with a better basic understanding of fundamentals that are vital to survival in a multitude of situations and environments by programing the brain to focus on certain things and to problem solve, even before there is a "problem". This course does not go into depth on specific skillsets (for example: weapon manipulation and marksmanship), but it does highlight important topics and tactics from several other Intuitive Defense training courses that are merged together for a classroom style presentation.
During this course there are several questions the class is presented with. The purpose of these questions is to get individuals thinking about certain situations and address possible problems, solutions, and outcomes. Breaking a complex problem down into more manageable sections in a classroom style environment can help you identify characteristics and signals that are consistent in potential life-or-death situations. Understanding the how, the why, and the who of a problem can better help you deal it or even avoid it before the problem is present. Application of this information could be very important in the real world. Without it; ignorance is bliss, but it can also lead to disaster.
Our goal with this course is to help you become more aware of your environment while problem solving should a dangerous or deadly situation arise. We believe that our teaching method, along with having a simplified, yet informative course of instruction will do just that.
